Onion (Allium) is a genus of the order Asparagales and the family Amaryllidaceae, subfamily Allioideae. It is also one of the most numerous genera of plants, with 1250 species.
Characteristics of the Sturon variety:
Large, rounded, yellowish-brown bulbs, not seeded, with a tough skin and good storage properties. It has a medium-early harvest and can be stored until spring. The bulb is 14-20mm in size. Brown skin-coloured, early maturing onions. Can be stored well. Its plump, firm flesh has a strongly pungent, aromatic flavour.
