The Hecht 256 Spreader is a towable spreader for fertiliser, seed and road salt, which can be a great help in keeping large areas tidy as an accessory to the garden tractor. It uses the torque of the wheels to drive the spreading system. This ensures even spreading - the amount of material spread is directly proportional to the distance travelled. The spreading force is controlled by a lever on the drawbar. This lever, on most garden tractors, is easily accessible from the driver's seat, allowing the spreading to be interrupted at will. The lever is also used to adjust the spreading force. The hopper can hold 60 litres of seed, fertiliser or road salt and is fitted with a sieve to prevent clogging of the spreading system. A cover sheet is also supplied as an accessory for the spreader.
