Pond Pure is a 100% natural micro-organism enzyme product containing essential trace elements derived from plant extracts, which, when used, has specific mechanisms of action to stop algae growth in ponds, reduce their numbers and provide long-term protection against re-growth. As the product contains no chemicals, algicide, it is not harmful to the water and its biota. It works by reducing the concentrations of phosphorus and nitrogen forms in the water, which are essential for algae and are carried out by micro-organisms. This means that the application of Pond Pure does not directly kill the algae, its micro-organisms are food competitors for the algae, thus starving them and causing them to slowly die. The anaerobic, anoxic and aerobic microorganisms convert the ammonium in the water, which is released as nitrogen gas as the end product of a multi-step process. The dissolved phosphate in water is incorporated into cells where it is involved in mitochondrial energy production processes. The dissolved and suspended organic pollutants in the water are broken down by Pond Pure's microorganisms, the end product being carbon dioxide and water. In a similar way, if dissolved oxygen is available near the bottom, the organic fraction of the sludge is broken down by the microorganisms. Pond Pure also significantly reduces the risk of clogging filters and pumps installed in small ponds. Instructions for use The bottle contains a concentrate, dilute with clean water! Dilution ratio: 1:4. Dilute only the portion to be used! The dosage indicated applies to the diluted finished product. To prevent algal blooms: 1 ml Pond Pure per 1 m3 of living water once every month when the water temperature exceeds 10 °C. To control severe algae growth: 4 ml Pond Pure / 1 m3 living water once a week until algae is reduced and water clarity is significantly improved. Thereafter, 1 ml Pond Pure / 1 m3 of living water once every month when the water temperature exceeds 10°C. To eliminate algal blooms: 10 ml of Pond Pure / 1 m3 of living water once a week until algal blooms are eliminated and water clarity is significantly improved. Thereafter, 1 ml Pond Pure per 1 m3 of living water once every month when the water temperature exceeds 10°C. Attention! Fill the pond with controlled water (tap water). Do not use uncontrolled well water to fill your pond. In our experience, the most common mistake that garden pond owners make is to fill their pond with well water. Please note that in Hungary and Central Europe, groundwater and groundwater found at a depth of a few tens of metres is highly contaminated with nitrogen and phosphorus forms, and in some cases concentrations of these ions, which are the main source of nutrients for algae, can be several hundred times higher than acceptable levels in living water. These ions are colourless and their high concentrations are not visible in the extracted well water, i.e. the water appears crystal clear. If you do decide to use well water, please carry out accredited laboratory tests on the following ions in the well water sample: ammonium, nitrate, orthophosphate. After receiving the laboratory results, please contact our company and ask for advice from a specialist. Attention! The dissolved oxygen concentration in water is essential for the process and therefore monitoring is highly recommended. The efficiency is greatly improved if the pond is equipped with artificial aeration (air supply through a diffuser, fountain or pump). When turning the water body and supplying air, particular care must be taken to ensure that the bottom sediment is not disturbed. Attention! The use of microbiologically damaging chemicals will also make it impossible for the micro-organisms in Pond Pure to function, so do not add chemicals to the water during treatment! The same applies to other equipment that destroys microorganisms (e.g. UV), which should also be avoided.
