Weighing 170 gr/m2, the nets are made of high tensile HDPE film. Their high quality is guaranteed for more than 5 years due to their UV-stable material and strict manufacturing requirements.
Fixed to a fence or other strong support system, the wind nets reduce the wind speed by 50% up to four times the height of the support system and by 33% up to eight times the height of the support system without causing turbulence in the areas in front of and behind the windbreak.
Windbreak netting can save significant thermal energy when used in greenhouses and foil tents.
It is advisable to fix the support system very carefully, because if it is poorly fixed, the net will catch the wind like a sail, so that in high winds, poorly made and fixed support systems can be torn out of the ground by the forces of the large surface area.
The net is buttonholed at the edges and in the centre to aid anchoring. It is advisable to fix the net in place using a tie cord made of the net material.
Each roll of netting comes with a roll (105m) of tying cord for attachment.
The netting provides 97 % of the meshes obstruction.
